On July 5, 2012, the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Mr. Ilham Aliyev and the First Vice-President Mrs. Mehriban Aliyeva participated in the opening ceremony of the Palace after restoration. The ancient building was fundamentally repaired and restored, all the existing decorative elements of the exterior and interior were restored to their original appearance, and new elements were made based on historical data.
